Tower:
The vertical "Tower" is a nickname for the more modern version of the Cadillac apparatus and also known as the "Wall Unit." The apparatus is fastened to the wall and uses leg and arm springs, push through, and roll down bars for an effective spring-loaded resistance training.
Reformer Only:
One of the major pieces of Pilates equipment, the Reformer resembles a moving bed platform with springs creating resistance. The Reformer workout follows a System Order, Level I, II, III and Super Advanced IV. The jumpboard provides a softer impact Cardio jumping experience while lying down.
Reformer/Tower:
This format combines the 2 primary pieces of Pilates apparatus for 30 minutes each for a balance workout.
All Equipment: System I-II, II-III (Adv Beginner or Adv Intermediate):
This class follows the traditional format for a Private Pilates session, but experienced in a group: Mat warm-up, Reformer, Wunda Chair, High/Low Chair, Barrels, Cadillac. Previous experience via Privates/Duets on ALL apparatus is a pre-requisite as the class requires some independent work. Safety is key!
Guys Get Reformed:
An Equipment class for Guys Only using the Wall Unit ("Tower of Power"). Focuses on Pilates Corework for strong Abdominals, Stretches for Lower Back / Openers for Upper Back, and Lengthening and Strengthening the Hamstrings. Great for guys need flexibility to enjoy their Sports who have a history of lower back problems and poor posture causing shoulder and neck tension.
PARTY! (Pilates, Arms, Reformer, Tower, Yoga):
This fast paced class begins with hardcore Pilates matwork, killer armwork, reformer series, and chair exercises ("mini-reformer"), Tower spring series, and finishes with the Long Stretch series - which is similar to the Yoga sun salutations stretch - a fun Pilates workout.
