Rebecca Burnett Swieczkowski

Rebecca has danced professionally since age 16 as soloist and charter member of the Dallas Ballet and pursued her training and performing career abroad in France before returning to the states where she graduated with High Honors from SMU with a BFA in Dance. 

She joined the faculty at El Centro college in both the Physical Ed. & Dance Depts. and in 1976 served as the first Dance Artist-in-Residence for the City of Dallas, performing and teaching in low exposure communities. 

In 1983 she began her own company, F.U.N. Fitness Systems, certifying & testing Group Exercise Instructors – collaborating with Joyce Ward and husband, Dr. Bob Ward, who at the time was with the Dallas Cowboys as the NFL’s first Strength & Conditioning Coach. 

She was introduced to the Pilates Method in 1995 while living in Florida teaching Dance & Fitness and later went on to receive her Comprehensive Certification with Power Pilates -NYC and opened the Dallas Power Pilates Training Center within the Signature Athletic Club, where she was Manager of Group Exercise. 

Rebecca has taught & coached Dance, Fitness, or Physical Education at every educational level and trains Elite High Performance Athletes and the Pros with the NFL, MLB,  MLS & LPGA.  She was privileged to work directly with the Texas Ranger players in the Stadium in Arlington under the supervision of Strength Coach, Fernando Montes, training them on the Pilates equipment & Mat.  

In 2005 she opened the First fully equipped Pilates Studio in Collin County, was voted Best of Pilates for Frisco/Plano in 2013 and in the same year created & moderated the educational DVD, (Get Your) Spine into Pilates, with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital & renowned surgeon Dr. Isador Lieberman of the Scoliosis & Spine Tumor Center.  

Rebecca has a passion to equally educate, encourage, and Inspire every client she trains whether they are overcoming injuries, battling illnesses such as MS, Arthritis, Cancer, focusing on their overall fitness & wellness, trying to fit back into their jeans, or getting the “Pilates Edge” to increase their athletic performance.  She draws on her faith in the Lord who has given her many opportunities and learning experiences as an educator, wife, mother of her five children, employee, business owner, and a compassionate Friend who can bring home the “Personalized” aspect of training.  

Rebecca addresses the Whole Person who walks into the Studio with a Mind & Emotions as well as a unique body with its own history.  She acknowledges their stress, challenges, complicated schedules and relationships, but focuses on the Positive & energizes them to reach towards their own Goals & Dreams.
