ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA. 1987. Of all places and times, it was there that Rebecca Swieczkowski as a single mom of two young children, became the victim of a violent crime. Back then and there, racial lines were not crossed, policing and politics predictably followed the good ‘ole boy code, and gossip was rampant.

But what if I told you that the people there was extraordinary - that yes, they were THAT good? Well… most of them anyway.

Resplendent with strong themes of light overcoming darkness, this very personal survivor story reminds us that God’s grace is sufficient, and ALL our experiences ultimately work together for the good He has purposed.

“Eye Opening account of every woman’s worst nightmare… Every victim of sexual assault, police officer, physician and counselor can benefit from the accounts recorded by Rebecca.”

John Ritchie, Chief of Police Retired Alexandria, Louisiana

“you will experience God’s great faithfulness through Rebecca’s story. I know that her determination and perseverance rooted in the Lord, will be an encouragement to you as you read.”

Alexandria Ford, Ed.D, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Cultivate Well

“I found this to be an intriguing and fascinating read that I could hardly put down… What makes Rebecca’s story unique is that she brings a strong message of hope to others that healing and wholeness are possible… for survivors as well as offenders.”

Anna Shursen, PhD, Family Therapy
